What makes Grasshopper Productions Cinematic Wedding packages different?

Audio

You might not think audio is all that important in a video, however it is more important than the video itself. It is easier to ignore pictures and video that are not quite right, but bad audio will ruin a wedding film every time. That is why we go to such great efforts to get as many different sound sources as possible on your wedding day. We will mic the groom with a small wireless lav clipped to the lapel of the tuxedo. This will give us crystal clear audio of both the groom and the bride, and in many cases the officiant as well. At the same time we try and mic up other sources, such as the minister, the podium for scripture readings, musicians that may be playing, and we also use ambient recordings from all the cameras as well as small digital audio recorders to capture all the sound of the day from every side. We can then mix all this down to a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround mix. Audio is also brought into Soundtrack Pro during the post production process and cleaned and edited to sounds as best as possible.

Steady and Fluid shots

Michele has perfected the art of getting beautiful fluid shots and uses a variety of techniques to capture all the great detail of your wedding and ceremony. We will use hand held slow pans over detail items, stedicam and glidetrack shots that will give your wedding film a polished cinematic look and feel.

Color

After the main edit of your wedding film is complete the entire project is sent into Apple Color for a complete work-over. All scenes are painstakingly color balanced to match perfectly, and colors are tweaked where needed to make each and every scene in your wedding film pop and come alive.
