What is your video style? Cinematic or documentary?

We actually offer both styles. Our cinematic wedding films are artistic movies created using feature-film techniques. The cinematic wedding film is also shorter than a traditional documentary edit, often having a duration of 20-30 minutes for the main wedding film. A documentary wedding film chronicles the day from start to finish in a more traditional style. The duration of the typical documentary wedding film is 90-120 minutes.

What type of coverage do you offer?

We have several packages offering a variety of coverage durations. We are confident you will be able to choose an option that works well with your wedding’s schedule, style, and budget.

How long have you been in business?

Grasshopper Productions has been providing our clients with excellent service for over 10 years.

What type of video or film format do you use?

Our cameras capture digitally, writing directly to memory cards, eliminating the use of tapes. The final product will be produced on DVD or Blu-ray disc depending on the package chosen and the preference of the couple.

How will the audio (sound) be handled?

We use wireless microphones on the officiant or groom to capture the wedding vows. We often capture at least 4 audio sources for the ceremony in order to capture a rich audio mixture.

What types of cameras/lighting will you use?

We use professional HD cameras to capture high quality imagery. We use a combination of off camera and on camera lighting to achieve the best results. The advantage of off camera lighting is that it is placed up high and softened by umbrella’s to eliminate harshness and glare.

How many other weddings will you be shooting on my wedding day?

We never shoot more than one wedding per day so as to provide you with the best possible service.

Do you offer HD-ready video?

We film every event in HD, which gives you the option of upgrading to HD anytime. In the age of high-definition television, you want to be sure to invest in a quality wedding video, and receive the most up-to-date product, which offers the sharpest pictures and will be compatible with any high-tech entertainment system that you want to set up.
