Grasshopper Production had the pleasure of filming the Doss / Frierson wedding on a beautiful Saturday evening at the Royal Oaks Country Club. The wedding ceremony was held outdoors on a grassy hill overlooking the lake and large homes in the distance. The weather was just wonderful, just wish all my outdoor weddings could be so nice. Congratulations to both Kimbery and Gary on their beautiful wedding. The officiant was Tim Roth, and the photographer was Dave Clements.
Cinematic Wedding Teaser of Kelly and Pete filmed on October 10, 2009. This video showcases our cinematic dolly shots and pans that make our videos so enjoyable to watch. The editing was done by Michele, and the color grading and audio balance was done by Ivan.
This past Saturday we had the pleasure of filming the Huffman / Needham wedding. They had their ceremony in Julianna Huffman’s backyard, and was beautifully decorated. While it did start to rain just minutes before the ceremony, it was light enough that the wedding was able to proceed. The canopy provided the bridal party shelter from the elements, and the guests all brought umbrellas as rain was likely to happen.
Filming started early at Josephine’s Day Spa in Houston, Texas where I was able to capture the bridal party getting their hair and makeup done for the ceremony to come. Photography was provided by Lee Ray Photography, a very talented photographer whom we have worked with on many other occasions.
The entire wedding film was produced in HD and will be delievered to the bride and groom on Bluray and Digital HD for use on laptops, hardrives, and the like.
We plan on having a wedding film teaser online in the next week or so. It should be interesting with the rain in many of the shots.

On September 11, 1999, Grasshopper Productions filmed its first wedding in Burbank, California for Lawerence and Karen Cook. In the decade to follow Grasshopper Productions has grown to be one of Houston’s leading wedding videographers. Michele joined Grasshopper shortly after we were married on November 6th, 2004 and has added greatly to the success of our company. Michele is our primary videographer and cinematic editor, while Ivan provides second camera, audio, and works on the color grading, sound editing, and DVD design of your wedding film. Our wedding videos have gone from long form 2 hour DVDs to fresh, cinematic wedding films that are usually 20 to 30 minutes in length. Samples of our cinematic wedding films can be viewed online and at our studios in Houston, Texas. We are both looking forward to another wonderful decade of growth with Grasshopper Productions as we move into providing HD and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround mixes in our wedding films.
